Rooney Mara has undergone a dramatic transformation to play Lisbeth Salander in “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,” and she’s really getting to show off her new look in a recently released poster for the film.
The poster shows a steely Daniel Craig with his arms wrapped around a semi-nude Mara, providing an unobstructed view of one of her pierced, NSFW-body parts. Another version of the poster, available on the movie’s U.S. site, sort of covers that particular part of Mara with the release date text. To see the uncensored photo, the viewer must enter their name, birth date and Zip code.
The first trailer for the U.S. version of the Stieg Larrson book was released earlier this month, and gave our own Jen Chaney “chills.” The film opens this December. With the buzz created by the intense trailer and now this risque poster, I’d say the film’s marketers have done their jobs well.
