Scarlett Johansson is dangerous even without her hands in new ‘Avengers’ clip

While “The Avengers” doesn’t open in the U.S. until May 4, it may feel like you’ve already seen the superhero film thanks to the many trailers that have been released.

And yet, here I am, posting more footage from the film. But I have two reasons. One, this is the first clip from “The Avengers,” as opposed to a trailer. And two, Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow does something really cool.

In the already released footage, Romanoff — the film’s only female hero — has been relegated to retrieving Bruce Banner and holding a gun.

But in the new clip, Black Widow fights three guys with her hands tied behind a chair. She frees herself by doing a flip and breaking the chair on a man’s back.

So sure, she doesn’t have any superpowers. But it’s clear from this clip that Black Widow will be able to keep up with the superhero boys.
