Sienna Miller: Phone hacking made me ‘ incredibly paranoid’ (Video)

Sienna Miller. (Chris Pizzello - AP)
Sienna Miller said she became “incredibly paranoid” as she struggled to figure out how the British tabloids were printing private information about her. As it turned out, her phone was being hacked by News of the World reporters.

On Thursday’s “Today” show, the British actress said she would accuse her family and friends of selling stories because she had no idea how her personal information was leaking to the press..

“It’s had a huge impact on relationships, friendships, career, all sorts of things,” she said.

After Miller noticed she wasn’t receiving her voicemails, she began to plant messages to see if they would show up in the tabloids. In July, the actress won 100,000 pounds in damages from News of the World.

Miller, J.K. Rowling, Hugh Grant and are about 40 of the alleged victims have been given core participant status in a phone hacking inquiry, the BBC reports. This means they can have lawyers and present evidence.
