Singer Sinead O’Connor is celebrating her 45th birthday with a fourth marriage.
“With enormous joy myself and my beloved boyfriend Barry Herridge will be getting married tomorrow, December 8th 2011 at 'an un-disclosed location' in my absolute dream wedding ceremony,” the singer wrote on her blog. O’Connor, best known for her cover of Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U,”added, “Very happy girl. : ) ”
While this news is obviously great for the singer, it’s also a little odd. Just two months ago, O’Connor wrote on her blog that she was desperate — I mean really, really desperate — for a man. She said she was taking applications for a lover “no younger than 44” who “must not be named Brian or Nigel” and “had to like his mother.”
It seems Herridge is qualified for the position.
