Snooki, ‘Jersey Shore’ cast returning for season six of show. Seriously.

Not even Snooki’s pregnancy can stop “Jersey Shore” from rolling on.

The entire cast, including the pint-sized pregnant Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, will return for season six of the show. This news does not appear to be some cruel joke. According to an MTV blog post, shooting begins this summer.

Two “Shore” spinoffs — one for Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio, the other for Snooki and Jennifer “JWoww” Farley — were announced last year.

“Jersey Shore’s” fifth season finale aired last week, ending what is considered to be the reality train wreck’s most boring season. Some speculated that the show would finally come to a close because of Snooki’s impending motherhood.

The Post’s Katie Rogers, who diligently recapped the show for Celebritology, wrote, “If what it took to sustain attention around this show for so long was a drunkenly abusive relationship and lots of casual sex, I’m totally fine with this show ending for fetal health purposes.”

Oh, Katie. How beautifully optimistic you were. No, it seems the terrifying prospect of a pregnant woman being in the midst of drunken foolishness will keep the show on life support for at least one more season.

Will viewers tune in to see what happens? My money, sadly, is on yes.
