The Aerosmith singer told Matt Lauer he passed out in the shower and woke up not knowing where he was. He lost two teeth and received stitches on his eye.

Tyler wanted to let everyone know that the fall had nothing to do with drugs or alcohol, two vices he’s struggled with in the past.

"I get that people think that. It still bothers me a little, but it's something that I have to deal with for the rest of my life,” he told Lauer.

Despite the setback—and a black eye— Tyler went on to perform at the Paraguay concert Wednesday night.

“I wore my sunglasses for my first song , took them off and the crowd roared,” he said. “Not only did I break my face, but the next night we broke the house record. Life is beautiful, Matt.”
