After recent national anthem flubs by Steven Tyler, Cyndi Lauper and, most notably, Christina Aguilera during last year’s Super Bowl, Kelly Clarkson had a clear task ahead of her during Super Bowl XLVI: sing ”The Star Spangled Banner” without screwing it up.
Fortunately, the pop star and former “American Idol” winner is a pro. And she proved it during Sunday’s game, hitting all the high notes spot-on and, even better, getting all the lyrics right. That Kelly Clarkson: She knows her ramparts.
