Tamara Tunie, best known for her role on “Law and Order: SVU,” is the victim of a million dollar crime.
Tunie’s business manager of 10 years, Joseph Cilibrasi, pleaded guilty Thursday to stealing more than $1.4 million from the actress, the Associated Press reports. He will be sentenced Jan. 4 to between 2 1 / 2 and 7 1 / 2 years, according to his plea deal.
Cilibrasi, 51, also stole $75,000 from the Kansas City Symphony’s music director, according to the AP. He used the money to back Broadway shows, films and go on fancy vacations.
Request for comment from Tunie’s publicist has not been returned.
