“Marvel's The Avengers”

Here’s yet another trailer for “The Avengers,” offering a lot of new footage of the Marvel superheroes tasked with saving the world.
Kicking off with a healthy dose of the “Inception” “brrm,” the trailer wastes no time showing the epic amount of destruction the team must stop.
Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) first recruits Captain America (Chris Evans), who is sulking/showing a punching bag who’s boss. Scarlett Johansson, as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, finally speaks in this two-minute clip, as she persuades a very resistant Dr. Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) to join the team (“We’re not a team, we’re a time bomb,” Banner later insists.)
Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) makes even more snarky comments. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) holds his hammer. Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye remains silent.
So how long until, you know, the actual film is released? The wait is nearly over. “The Avengers” hits theaters May 4.
