The Band Perry performs on ‘Today’

The Band Perry, the cutest sibling band in county music, performed its really sad song about dying young, as well as two other tunes, on the “Today” show Friday. It was a very nice performance of “If I Die Young,” but — ya know — also kind of depressing.

The trio will tour across the country with Brad Paisley this summer through the fall. They began work on their second album in March, according to Taste of Country.

Fun fact: Did you know “If I Die Young” was first released in June 2010? It feels like just yesterday that I was hearing the song for the first time and getting all weepy. Time: Where does it go?

Watch the performances below.
