Armie Hammer unveiled the first teaser trailer for “The Lone Ranger” on last night’s “Tonight Show,” confirming that the movie will feature plenty of gunfire, a glossy Western vibe and, as promised by previously released stills from the film, Hammer’s posh-looking Lone Ranger and Johnny Depp, as Tonto, wearing a massive bird on his head.
A widely disseminated YouTube clip of Hammer’s trailer unveiling has been yanked offline, but Slashfilm still has the clip, which you can watch here.
“The Lone Ranger” — whose poster is reminiscent of the promos for “The Dark Knight Rises” — is slated to release on July 3, 2013.
