Letting audiences know how long they have until the band takes the stage is a really great idea.

The new ‘Hunger Games’ trailer: Another Katniss tease

Jennifer Lawrence in "The Hunger Games." (AP)

Remember how the new “Hunger Games” trailer/Super Bowl commercial was being yanked off the Internet earlier today? Well, now it’s officially online.

And what does this latest teaser for the arrow-shooting adventures of Katniss Everdeen show us?

Well, during its robust one-minute-and-nine-second run time, we see an emotional Mockingjay-pin-sharing moment between Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and younger sister Primrose, which is already sparking irritation among readers of the book who realize that moment didn’t happen in the original text; an emotional exchange between our heroine and her beloved Gale (Liam Hemsworth); Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), Katniss’s other kinda-boyfriend, being feisty; Katniss in her prommy fire dress (which we’ve previously seen) as well as her ultra-feminine yellow ensemble; and Stanley Tucci sporting Oompa-Loompa hair as Caesar Flickman. Oh yeah, and Lenny Kravitz is in it, too.

Is it a good trailer? Sure, as long as you’re not a purist about how Sunzanne Collins’s novel is being translated to the screen. Will it be a good movie? Unfortunately, despite all these teasers and trailers and teasers for trailers, we really won’t know until it comes out on March 23.

Watch the latest clip below.
