An Arlington food truck's mini doughnuts wow the judges.

Before the band goes on stage, can I get a countdown?

Before the band goes on stage, can I get a countdown?

Letting audiences know how long they have until the band takes the stage is a really great idea.

Tom Haverford must be a fan of ‘Drive’ (Photo and video)

Ryan Gosling in ‘Drive.” (Richard Foreman Jr. — SMPSP)
While the critically adored, hot dog thrower inspiring Ryan Gosling movie “Drive” was pretty much shut out by the Oscars, it at least got a little love on Thursday night’s episode of “Parks and Recreation.”

Haverford, played by Aziz Ansari, wore a satin jacket emblazoned with a scorpion, similar to the one Driver wears in the film, to go bowling. (Yes, I would really like Ansari to star in a full “Drive” spoof called “Bowl.”) Driver’s and Haverford’s jackets differ in color (cream and black, respectively) and the positioning of the scorpion. But come on: The coolest jacket of the movie season had to be the inspiration. (People on Twitter and the Huffington Post agree.)

A super accurate replica of the film jacket can be purchased from Steady Clothing for around $160. But a look of disdain from Ron Swanson for wearing one? Well, you can’t put a price on that.
