A still from “Madagascar 3” (DreamWorks)Here’s the new trailer for “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted,” the latest chapter in DreamWorks’ story about Central Park Zoo animals who end up on the African island by mistake, then try to go home again. Spoiler alert: They haven’t done it yet.
After spending some time in mainland Africa for the second film, Alex (Ben Stiller), Marty (Chris Rock), Melman (David Schwimmer) and Gloria (Jada Pinkett Smith) find themselves in Monte Carlo. (And in 3-D for the first time!) There, they join a circus en route to the big apple, while trying to outrun animal control officer Captain Chantel DuBois (Frances McDormand.)
The film boasts some impressive talent, in addition to the names already mentioned. It also stars Bryan Cranston, Jessica Chastain and Martin Short, and was written by Noah Baumbach of “The Squid and the Whale” fame.
