What’s up with Diane Sawyer?

Election Night is full of winners and losers, and during last night’s television coverage Diane Sawyer won the race for most-tweeted-about anchorwoman. The night started off well, with Sawyer tweeting a photo of herself behind the news desk:

Ready, set at the @abc desk for Election Night. RT if you’ll be watching as America chooses a President. #YourVoice…

— Diane Sawyer (@DianeSawyer) November 6, 2012

But as the results came in, Twitter feeds started to fill with questions about the increasingly tongue-tied Sawyer. Was she just excited, tired, or, you know, sipping something between commercial breaks?

And Diane Sawyer declares tonight’s winner is... chardonnay!

Diane Sawyer just did that thing where you take off your bra while still wearing your top.

I want whatever Diane Sawyer is taking or drinking tonight

— Dina Manzo (@dinamanzo) November 7, 2012

I hope Diane Sawyer gets to sleep in tomorrow.

So what was up with Diane Sawyer? Surely time will tell (or an official statement from ABC or Sawyer herself). Until then, check out a few highlights from ABC’s election night coverage:
