When Ryan Lochte met Patrick Stewart, Simon Pegg and Arya Stark from ‘Game of Thrones’

Sure, this is a great photo of Ryan Lochte. But the one below is better. (TOBY MELVILLE - REUTERS)

Forget all those striking images of muscle-toned gymnasts in mid-leap or medal-winning swimmers in mid-stroke that have circulated throughout this summer’s Olympic games.

The following photo — tweeted from swimmer/heartthrob Ryan Lochte’s account early this morning — is the greatest picture to be publicly revealed since the Olympic games began nearly two weeks ago in London.

What is going on in this photo?

Well, as Lochte explains, he’s apparently shooting a Funny or Die video with Patrick Stewart, Maisie Williams of “Game of Thrones” and Simon Pegg. (By the way, in case you couldn’t tell, Lochte is the guy in the sweat pants and bright green sneakers. He blends right into the background in that outfit, so clarification obviously was needed.)

Without that Funny or Die context around it, though, this picture looks like evidence of what happened when Lochte accidentally stumbled into a production of “Oliver Twist” starring Stewart and Williams, and then Pegg showed up dressed as Fonzie.

At least that’s my take on that image. Got a better one? By all means, take this opportunity to post a quality caption for this photo in the comments section. Consider it a flashback to the Celebritology Creative Captioning Days of Yore.
