Whitney Houston’s funeral to be attended by Kevin Costner, Bobby Brown; Janet Jackson joining ‘X Factor’?

Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder will perform at Whitney Houston’s funeral Saturday . Houston’s “Bodyguard” co-star Kevin Costner, ex-husband Bobby Brown and Oprah Winfrey are expected to attend, as are Tyler Perry, Rickey Minor, Alicia Keys and Dionne Warwick. The Newark police director has asked Houston’s fans to stay away from the New Jersey church where her funeral service will take place.
“I would advise the public that there really is going to be nothing to see here at the church. The best thing to do would be to stay home and watch the service on television,” Samuel DeMaio said. Fans already stationed outside New Hope Baptist seem to disagree. (NBC New York)

Janet Jackson is reportedly in super early talks to join the “X Factor,” which recently fired judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul, as well as host Steve Jones. The pop star declined to comment on the rumor when asked by Anderson Cooper. (THR)

Nay-sayer David Cross has changed his tune (a little bit) when it comes to the “Arrested Development” reunion. “Based on what was described to me, it seems to be a very smart, original, interesting idea.
