We go inside MD, VA schools

No American suburbs have better schools than those in Maryland and Virginia districts near Washington D.C. None have more talented teachers, better educated parents or more ambitious students.

Thus no where is there more of an passion to make the schools work for every child, or more of a fear that those expectations might not be realized. Our suburban schools matter. They are full of stories. In recognition of that, we have launched two new blogs to catch every important development in those school communities.

The stars of Virginia Schools Insider LINK: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/virginia-schools-insider and Maryland Schools Insider LINK: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/maryland-schools-insider are my young colleagues Michael Alison Chandler and Robert Samuels (Maryland) and Emma Brown and Kevin Sieff (Virginia). Click on those links and see their latest reports. They even point you toward some of my columns if I reach their high standards. If you have a tip, let them know, as long as you email me too.
