Evelyn Lear: a last picture

In memory of the late Evelyn Lear, who died on July 1st, David Henderson sent in one of the last photos ever taken of her. Here she is at the Washington Wagner Society’s meeting on May 7 with Jay Hunter Morris, her protege who has now sung Siegfried at the San Francisco Opera and the Met. Even ill, she always knew how to bring it for the camera.
