Glass houses: Philip Glass founds new contemporary festival

The composer Philip Glass announced last week that he is founding a new contemporary music festival in California — adding to a veritable jungle of contemporary music festivals in California.

The difference in Glass’s festival is that it won’t focus on music alone. It will also encompass dance, theater and poetry.
