9/11 musical tributes abound; Posthumous Amy Winehouse song out Wednesday; New Kate Bush album on the way

-  The weekend saw numerous memorial tributes to the victims of 9/11 – and there was music. Paul Simon and James Taylor sang in New York. Country star Alan Jackson sang at the Kennedy Center here in Washington.

- “Body and Soul,” the final song recorded by the lateAmy Winehouse is due out Wednesday, which would have been the singer’s 28th birthday. It’s a duet with singer Tony Bennett. On Friday, it was reported that Winehouse only had the prescription drug Librium in her system at the time of her death.

 - After digging into her back catalog earlier this year, Kate Bush is looking to the future. Her upcoming album, “50 Words for Snow,” is scheduled to land on Nov. 21. It follows “Director’s Cut,” an album released this summer where Bush re-recorded some of her older tunes.
