- Black Eyed Peas have pulled out of Saturday’s Michael Jackson tribute concert in Wales. The late cancellation leaves the embattled concert without one of its headliners. Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Gladys Knight and Smokey Robinson are still scheduled to perform.

- Reunited underground hip-hop heroes Black Star — that’s Talib Kweli and Mos Def Yasiin Bey — appeared on “The Colbert Report” last night and pretty much answered the question we asked last week.

- Rapper J. Cole debuts at the top of the Billboard charts with his album “Cole World: the Sideline Story” selling an impressive 218,000 copies in its first week.

- In today’s Post, Dave Nuttycombe has the story of Ken and Jeannie Veltz, who came close to big-time success as the family band Cecilia and are still on the road trying to keep their dream alive.
