Bluebrain takes Manhattan; NBC to screen Questlove’s walk on music; Kid Rock for Mitt Romney?

First they take Manhattan, then they take Berlin? (Tracy A Woodward/TWP)
- Bluebrain’s “location aware” albums are finally starting to get some attention in new locations. The New York Times has a story about “Listen to the Light,” the Washington duo’s latest music-meets-Global-Positioning-System project. We reported on Bluebrain’s stunning location aware debut, “The National Mall,” back in May.

- After serenading Michele Bachmann with Fishbone’s “Lyin’ A-- B-----” on a recent episode of “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,” Questlove of the Roots will have to get his walk-on music approved by three NBC executives.

- More presidential candidate music news: The Reliable Source tells us that Mitt Romney is using a wholesome Kid Rock song on the campaign trail, but Kid Rock sorta wishes Romney would have picked a dirtier one.

- Just because we wanted to put these two morsels in the same paragraph: EDM superstar Tiesto is launching a clothing line and underground hardcore hero Sam McPheeters has written a novel. One is called “CLVB LIFE” and the other is called “The Loom of Ruin.” Guess which is which!
