Coda: Bieber’s DJ speaks; Fugazi covers abound; R&B turns cold

Stay cool this weekend. Listen to Frank Ocean and drink lots of water. (Julian Berman)
With temperatures in Washington approaching 400 degrees, we hid from the sun and blogged our Slurpee-sipping hearts out. This week on Click Track we had interviews with Justin Bieber’s DJ Tay James , songwriter Hayes Carll and the always fascinating Psychedelic [Bleepbloop] . We also broke the news of Mary J. Blige’s opening night gig at the Fillmore Silver Spring, analyzed the sudden spate of Fugazi covers, came up with a primer for Wiz Khalifa’s Sunday stop at Merriweather Post Pavillion and found some relief from the heat in the icy-cool R&B of Frank Ocean, Jhene Aiko, the Weeknd and Inc.

Stay well hydrated and we’ll see you on Monday.
