- Jimmy Fallon has apologized to Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann for his house band, the Roots, playing Fishbone’s “Lyin’ Ass B----” as her walk-on music for a Monday appearance on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.” Earlier on Tuesday Roots drummer/bandleader Questlove offered his own apology, saying: “The performance was a tongue-in-cheek and spur of the moment decision. The show was not aware of it and I feel bad if her feelings were hurt. That was not my intention.” Questlove is known for his inspired walk-on song choices.

- Nicki Minaj announced that her new album, “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded,” will be out on Feb. 14, 2012. Valentine’s Day, how sweet. It will mark the follow up to 2010’s “Pink Friday,” which has gone platinum and turned Minaj into a full-fledged superstar.

- Dave Grohl, Ryan Adams, Spoon’s Britt Daniel and many more paid tribute to punk icon Bob Mould at a tribute show in Los Angeles on Monday. Our own Chris Richards profiled the former Husker Du/Sugar frontman back in June.
