Juanes to be honored at Kennedy Center; Bon Iver and James Blake song premieres; Was there a ukulele record set in Bethesda last night?

Juanes will be honored at the Kennedy Center next month. (Kyle Gustafson/FTWP) (Kyle Gustafson - FTWP)
- Colombian rock icon Juanes will receive the Vision award at the 25th Hispanic Heritage Awards, which will take place at the Kennedy Center on Sept. 15. The ceremony kicks off Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15.

- Yesterday we got or first taste of the Bon Iver/James Blake collaboration, Fall Creek Boys Choir, with the song “Enough Thunder” debuting on BBC Radio 1. And it sounds exactly as you’d expect it to sound.

- Did Strathmore break the Guinness World Record for Largest Ukukele Ensemble last night? Maybe. They tweeted that with 944 players they broke the previous record of 851. Huzzah! But then after some digging around (aka searching “Strathmore ukulele” on Twitter) it seems that some 1,547 Swedes shattered the previous record just last weekend on Aug. 20.
