- The hits keep coming for Katy Perry. Her latest single, “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” became the fifth from “Teenage Dream” to reach the top of Billboard’s pop song chart and when it likely hits No.1 on the Hot 100 she will tie Michael Jackson (from 1987’s “Bad”) for most songs to reach the top.

- There continues to be lots of fallout from the Kings of Leon tour cancellation. Insurance payments on the canceled dates could reach $15 million. And band members might be trying to get frontman Caleb Followill into rehab.

- There will be a movie about the life of Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon? And who will play The Chef’s dad? Cee Lo Green, apparently.

- Taylor Swift was in town for the first of two sold-out shows at Verizon Center last night. After the concert she went to the Lincoln Memorial.
