- After years of waiting, Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter IV” finally has a release date — Aug. 29. Weezy confirmed the news himself to MTV. That date is more than nine months after the album’s first single, “6 Foot 7 Foot” came out.

- The Black Eyed Peas are going away for a bit. The band says it will take an extended break after this year, so their show at Merriweather Post Pavilion later this month may be one of their last shows for a while.

- A dog bit Morrissey . But he’ll be OK.
