More Throne in 2012?; Wale plays for free at Wizards Fan Fest

- As we remain in awe of Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “Watch the Throne” collaboration, the big question remains — was this a one-time thing or will the duo make another album in the future? “You might see a Jay, then Kanye and a Throne album next year,” Jay-Z recently told MTV News. Save some room on the top 10 lists for other people, guys.

- D.C.’s own Wale will kick off 2012 at Fillmore Silver Spring with a New Year’s Day concert, but he’ll also give a shorter, free performance on Saturday, Dec. 17 as part of the Washington Wizards Fan Fest. He’ll play before the team’s open scrimmage.

- Nick Cave’s raw, raunchy and evil side project Grinderman is calling it quits after two albums. The band’s 2009 show at 9:30 Club was one of that year’s best.
