Neil Young autobiography coming; Massive Leonard Cohen box set also on the way; A day with Rick Ross

Add Neil Young to the list of rockers going the memoir route. (AP Photo/The Canadian Press, Nathan Denette)
- Neil Young’s autobiography is set for a fall 2012 release. It’s called “Waging Heavy Peace.”

- A box set containing all of Leonard Cohen’s officially-released albums will be out on Oct. 11. That’s 17 in total, ranging from 1967’s “Songs of Leonard Cohen to 2009’s “Songs From the Road.” It’s also his 77th birthday today. Happy birthday! As a present, let’s give him a promise to never cover “Hallelujah” ever again.

- Indie rock heroes Guided By Voices have enough albums to populate a few dozen box sets. They’ll add to that list with a new album released in January, the first new recordings from the reunited “classic lineup” version of the group.

- GQ spent a day with Rick Ross . Verdict — yep, he’s the boss!
