- The rumors of a Rihanna and Chris Brown were true. Doubly true. Not only does Brown contribute on a remix of Rihanna’s “Birthday Cake,” but Rihanna returns the favor on a remix of Brown’s “Turn Up the Music.” It’s a very touching reunion — the first line of Brown’s verse on “Birthday Cake” finds him saying, “Girl I wanna [expletive] you right now/Been a long time, I’ve been missing your body.” Listen to the songs here.

- The closing ceremonies for this summer’s London Olympics will feature a concert headlined by Blur . Also performing — New Order and the Specials.

- Fiona Apple has announced her first tour in five years and the short run of shows includes a March 21 visit to D.C.’s Sixth & I Historic Synagogue. In other local concert news, The-Dream is coming to Fillmore Silver Spring on March 17 and Marilyn Manson will be there on May 1.

- The Black Sabbath reunion tour is off. Health issues of guitarist Tommy Iommi and contract disputes with drummer Bill Ward have reduced a summer tour to Ozzy and Friends.

- RIP Michael Davis , bassist for Detroit garage rock legends MC5. He passed away at the age of 68 due to liver disease.
