Pitchfork Festival takes over Chicago; Stage collapses at Ottawa Bluesfest; Radiohead in HD

Animal Collective went from Merriweather Post Pavilion last weekend (above) to Pitchfork Music Festival on Friday. (Kyle Gustafson/For The Washington Post)
- The annual Pitchfork Music Festival took place over the weekend in Chicago’s Union Park, featuring plenty of acts that the Internet music site helped make famous, including Fleet Foxes, Animal Collective, TV on the Radio, Odd Future and plenty, plenty more. For local coverage, the Chicago Tribune and Time Out Chicago did a fine job. Stereogum was there and Pitchfork will have plenty of its own coverage soon. Here’s a shaky, incomplete video of TV on the Radio covering the Fugazi classic “Waiting Room.” Think they’ll break that one out at FreeFest?

- A stage collapsed at the Ottawa Bluesfest on Saturday night during a Cheap Trick set. Five people were injured, one seriously. The band members escaped harm. The pictures and video are wild.

- A few weeks ago Radiohead played a surprise set at Glastonbury Festival. Now the band’s entire performance is available in HD, multi-angle video.
