This week we spoke with Shane Farthing, executive director of the Washington Area Bicycle Association . Being the cyclist he is, Farthing’s only lament about trekking around on two wheels is the that he can’t listen to music on his bike. “In some ways that may be a good thing, though,” Farthing says.
“It means that I still get to listen to full albums and pay full attention to them when I do.”

His playlist follows.

Talib Kweli feat. Jean Grae, “Uh Oh

Amos Lee, “El Camino

Willie Nelson, “Whiskey River

The Rolling Stones, “Torn and Frayed

Lupe Fiasco, “Dumb It Down”

Josh Ritter, “Girl in the War

The Stanley Brothers, “Rank Stranger

The White Stripes, “Little Ghost

Yeah Yeah Yeahs, “Skeletons

Adele, “Turning Tables
