Pop stars skip Earth Day on the Mall; Iggy Pop on “American Idol?”

- Yeah, we know hating on “American Idol” for being passe has been passe for a decade. But did Iggy Pop really have to show up on last night’s show? Even if the Stooges maestro encourages more “Idol” contestants to go shirtless and stare deeply into J-Lo’s eyes during their performances, it still doesn’t seem worth it.
