Prince set for 21 concert run in L.A.; Nicki Minaj to open for Britney Spears this summer

- Here in D.C. we’d be happy with just one show by Prince. Folks in L.A. are getting a ridiculous 21 opportunities to bask in the glory of His Purple Majesty. Last week he announced this plan (on “Lopez Tonight,” of course) and the long run is set to kick off this Thursday. What’s better than 21 chances to see Prince? The fact the he says 85 percent of tickets will be $25 or less — including fees. The first three concerts are scheduled for the Forum; no word on the next 18. Can somebody please make something like this happen in D.C.?

- After a week of rumors, Nicki Minaj is officially set to replace Enrique Iglesias as the opening act for Britney Spears upcoming summer tour. Catch the ladies at Verizon Center on July 31.
