T.I. returns at BET Hip Hop Awards, Taylor Swift concert; Future of Music Policy Summit kicks off in D.C.; Jamey Johnson coming to Fillmore

- T.I. celebrated the official end of his 11-month prison sentence in two very different ways. Performing with Young Jeezy at the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards? We could see that one coming. Sharing the stage with Taylor Swift during the country-pop star’s Atlanta concert on Sunday? There’s a surprise. The BET Hip Hop Awards will be broadcast on Oct. 11; no word on any future collaborations between T.I. and Swift.

- The annual Future of Music Coalition Policy Summit kicks off this week in D.C. and you can watch pretty much everything on a webcast. The Summit “will bring together an incredible array of musicians, arts advocates, policymakers, technologists, media representatives and industry figures to discuss issues at the intersection of music, technology, policy and law.” There are lots of interesting panels on the schedule, including one this afternoon at 2:45 p.m. with our own Chris Richards interview local experimental duo Bluebrain about their location-aware albums, including “The National Mall.”

- If you’re looking for us on Saturday, Nov. 5, we’ll be at Fillmore Silver Spring getting gloomy with country’s finest, Jamey Johnson . Tickets go on sale Tuesday at 10 a.m.

- Yesterday marked the 40th anniversary of the first national airing of “Soul Train.”
