Tom Petty tells Michele Bachmann to stop using his song; U2 looking for a permanent home for The Claw

Tom Petty says no to Michele Bachmann. (Evy Mages/TWP)
- You know it’s officially political campaign season when a classic rocker tells a Republican candidate to quit using his song as rallies. This time it was Tom Petty disapproving of Michele Bachmann using “American Girl.” We’ve been through this many times before.

- The Claw will live on even after U2’s 360 Tour comes to an end. The band is in discussions with promoters to find a permanent home for parts of the monstrous contraption.

- This is pretty cool — with keyboardist Jenny Conlee battling breast cancer and undergoing chemotherapy treatment, the rest of her Decemberists bandmates have shaved their heads in solidarity.
