VMAs set for Sunday; Beyonce debuts “1+1” video; John Stewart hosts “Nevermind” Q+A; Keith Richards goes book platinum

- The MTV VMAs are set for 9 p.m. Sunday night in L.A. There will be no host but there will be performances by Adele, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Ne-Yo, Pitbull, Young the Giant, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Beyonce and a handful of other manufactured surprises, we’re sure.

- Speaking of Beyonce, she debuted her video for “1+1” and it looks like she just walked through Hurricane Irene at the beginning. Then the end looks like any number of chillwave videos. Watch it above, because it’s Friday and why not?

- Jon Stewart will host a two-hour interview with former Nirvana members Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl , as well as producer Butch Vig on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of “Nevermind.” The SiriusXM interview also coincides with the release of Nevermind Radio, the all-Nirvana that launches on Sept. 23 and runs through Sept. 28 on the Lithium channel.

- “Life,” the entertaining autobiography by Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards , has sold a million copies. Here is the Post’s review from last year.
