The Washington Post

Week ahead: Make it a synth-pop week with Junior Boys, Robyn and Ray Kurzweil

If you listen to one new recording this week, make it: “It’s All True” by Canadian new-new-romantics Junior Boys. Patrick Foster has a full review on Click Track tomorrow.

If you go to one concert this week, make it: An early arrival at Merriweather Post Pavilion on Wednesday to catch the inimitable Robyn. Her wonderful new video is above.

And if you stay up late to watch one performance on television this week, make it: Futurist Ray Kurzweil when he visit Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday. He isn’t a musical guest (we don’t think), but he is a fascinating dude who once manufactured synthesizers of all types.

Chris Richards has been the Post's pop music critic since 2009. He's recently written about the bliss of summer songs, the woe of festival fatigue and a guide on how to KonMari your record collection.
