As the hyper-connective tissue of social media pulls us closer and closer into each other's personal lives, the idea of anonymity in pop music has grown more intriguing. Many emerging artists have tried to conceal their identities as they rise through the blog ranks, but unless they're fond of masks, helmets or copious facepaint, it's been tricky to remain enigmatic. Daft Punk has the right idea. The French duo have made some of the most brilliant dance music of our time -- all while sporting tricked-out robot masks. Their faces remain a mystery. And so does their age. As we all grow older on the dancefloor, Daft Punk stays forever young.
