Zola Jesus rises at Red Palace; David Kilgour keeps Kiwing; Aretha Franklin returns on “Fallon”

- If you go to one concert this week, make it: Goth provocateur Zola Jesus, who will bring her spectral sounds to Red Palace on Tuesday.

- If you listen to one new album this week, make it: “Left By Soft,” the gorgeous new album by David Kilgour, long time frontman of New Zealand legends the Clean. Recommended if you like: electric guitars.

- And if you stay up late to watch one act on television, make it: The public return of Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin on “Jimmy Fallon” Friday night. That should be a feel-good moment.
