CARTOON CONTEST: Today's the final day to vote for your pick

The polling closes within hours and the outcome's still in doubt: Who will win the vote to be The Post's "America's Next Great Cartoonist"?

There have been two rounds of challenges and a dozen celebrity critiquers. There have been some 500 entries and 4,000 first-round votes. All for $1,000 and a shot at syndication. Now, as sports announcers love to intone, it all comes down to this.

You can go to The Post's "America's Next Great Cartoonist Contest" page to view the work of the five finalists, as well as the judges' latest comments.

Stan Lee, Hilary Price and Richard Thompson have offered their final-round opinions -- and you can offer yours. The ballot box closes at 5 p.m. ET today. So if you haven't already, check out The Cartoonist Contest home page and vote for your favorite.
