As the syndicates continues to unveil new animation shorts of their strips, I find myself fascinated with seeing what elements from static comics make a successsful transition -- and what is lost is translation.
In the latest "Pooch Cafe" animation, for instance, Chazz sounds almost exactly how I imagine he would. You can check it out here:
Riffs also has been enjoying the new animated short for "Cul de Sac," which creator Richard Thompson blogs about here (particularly artful is how the papers flutter and float downward). And Thompson tells 'Riffs that the daughter of the head of Jantze Studios -- co-creator the animation with RingTales -- voiced young Alice:
