FOX NEWS JABS: Is 'The Simpsons' guilty of overkill?


From the Banksy intro to the Vatican's adoption of Homer to Katy Perry's puppet canoodling, "The Simpsons" has managed to make headlines often this season -- yet nothing on the show has proved to be a more consistent attention-getter lately than its verbal digs at Fox News.

To recap: The writing scamps at "The Simpsons" fired a shot across Fox News's bow, of course, with the recent news-copter signage that read: "Not Racist, but No. 1 With Racists" -- prompting a riposte from Fox News's Bill O'Reilly.

Delighting in the horseplay with its corporate cousin, "The Simpsons" just days later teased with a tweak of Fox News's graying demographic -- prompting a Taiwanese animation group to mock both sides and literally dramatize Fox's veteran cartoon show as having jumped the shark:


This past Sunday, "The Simpsons" -- like a salivating diner returning to the all-you-eat brunch buffet -- headed back to the steam table that is Fox News, this time with a seasonal cut: "Merry Christmas From Fox News...but No Other Holidays."


With three digs in a month, the question becomes: Should "The Simpsons" continue to taunt its Murdochian brethren, or at this point, comedically, is the show beating a dead source? Below, feel free to vote your mind, voice your heart or vent your spleen:
