MLK DAY: Art to remember the Rev. King by...

At Comic Riffs, I have a small, humble dream: Namely, that every newspaper cartoonist pay tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. today.

We're nowhere near that yet, but today, we post some art to honor King's memory -- including, fittingly, by the leading cartoonist in Atlanta.

May the lessons of your life work -- and your legacy -- only continue to spread and take ever deeper root, Dr. King.

And of course, archival footage is its own special kind of art -- and the resonance of this speech is as special as American history gets. Long live the dream.
