New Bin Laden comic created to ‘celebrate’ SEAL Team 6 raid

To the co-creator of the new graphic novel about the Osama bin Laden raid, the point of the comic was clear: To “celebrate what happened, especially among youngsters.”

That’s what retired Marine Capt. Dale Dye tells The Post’s Jason Ukman. Dye and his wife, Julia, wrote IDW’s recently announced “Code Word : Geronimo” (due in September), which depicts SEAL Team 6’s raid and killing of the al-Qaeda leader.

“I want very much for people who read this to understand that we’re still a nation that can produce those people – patriots like that who are willing to lay it on the line at every turn,” says Dye, who has served as a consultant on such films as “Platoon” and “Saving Private Ryan.”
