the winner of The Post's "America's Next Great Cartoonist Contest." So what's with all the allusions to ancient civilizations? Is the cartoonist spoofing, say, the very idea of cartoon "classics"?
"This was originally drawn for an all-Greco-Roman theme week," Walch tells Comic Riffs. "If you notice more than an average number of togas over the next three weeks, it's because they've been redistributed. That said, I suspect this happened all the time in Ancient Greece. Like, daily."
