ROMNEY’S binders. Obama’s Rose Garden. And Crowley’s questions.
From hardball attacks to accusations of softball follow-ups, Tuesday’s second presidential debate from New York’s Hofstra University supplied plenty of showdowns, putdowns and circus-ring meets boxing-ring drama.
The day-after satirical cross-fire pinged all three players: the president, the former governor and the CNN-veteran moderator. To wit: Romney sparked memes when addresssing the issue of equal pay. Obama’s actions immediately in the wake of Libyan tragedy were up for scrutiny. And Candy Crowley’s “fact-check” replies drew both cheers and jeers.
All of this, of course, was catnip for political cartoonists.
Love ‘em or loathe ‘em, here are Six Striking Debate Cartoons from the day after.
