The Post video “Creating Frank Cho’s World” won a regional Emmy over the weekend for its visual storytelling.

Video journalists Alexandra Garcia and Benedict de la Cruz received the award for single arts/entertainment news story at the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’s 53rd Emmy Awards for the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter.

“Creating Frank Cho’s World” showed how the Post Magazine and the cartoonist created a “Liberty Meadows”-inspired set for a cover photo shoot. The accompanying Magazine article profiled the Maryland-based artist at midcareer.

The Post won a total of eight regional Emmys — its biggest tally yet.
