Reader Poll: Cast Your (Rigged) Vote for Best 'Iran Election' Cartoon

Yesterday, one 'Riffs reader asked why so relatively few Palin/Letterman political cartoons were populating the landscape. Well, perhaps it's partly because the election-aftermath in Iran is just so politically hot -- and so important -- that it merits days of opinion-page space.

Just look at the headlines from the past 24-hour news cycle: The government of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is accusing the West of "intolerable" interference. Opposition candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi is urging more mass rallies today. And the nation's Supreme Leader, cleric Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, reportedly may publicly address the crisis tomorrow.

With all this brewing, many political cartoonists have been offering commentary with powerful precision. Here are five cartoons that particularly caught my aesthetic eye in recent days. Comic Riffs invites you to vote for your favorite.
